You may have heard this before, but it’s worth saying again: brushing is the most effective way to improve your oral health and thwart the advance of oral erosion and sickness. For the greatest outcome, it’s imperative to practice the greatest technique when brushing. Here are a few tips to help make you a master brusher:

-Brush for at least two whole minutes! This may sound easy, but most people don’t brush for this much time. (Two minutes is longer than you may believe!) To make sure you’re tooth-brushing for at least two minutes per brushing time, try keeping track of your brushing with a stopwatch or timer.

-Brush two times daily. While brushing once is good, you really should be brushing twice a day to see the best results. Just like you wouldn’t want bacterial acids sitting on your teeth all night while you sleep, you shouldn’t want bacterial acids eating away at your teeth during the day.

-Brush the outer-upper, then outer-lower, then inner-upper, and then inner-lower teeth. Making sure you brush in this way will help you get every spot of your teeth your toothbrush can reach, and it’s adjusted to help you rinse out bacteria and debris efficiently.
